Specialty Courses offered

Bloodborne Pathogens, Child and Babysitting Safety, and Emergency Oxygen Administration are available as individual or group classes. Wilderness First Aid requires a minimum of six (6) students to run a course. Students wanting wilderness first aid will be placed on a class wait list until 6 student minimum is reached. Special rates for Bloodborne Pathogens will be given to Fire Departments, EMS Services, or Police Departments.

AHSI Bloodborne Pathogens

ASHI Bloodborne Pathogens program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030). Certification cared given after class completion. Course Length: 1 Hour

ASHI Child and Babysitting Safety

The ASHI Child and Babysitting Safety training program is designed to focus on supervising, caring for and keeping children and infants safe in babysitting settings. The program provides fundamental information in the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills and responding properly to ill or injured children.  Perfect for young people who are interested in providing babysitting services. Certification card given after class completion Course Length: 6 Hours. 

ASHI Emergency Oxygen Administration

 Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for shock. ASHI Emergency Oxygen program focuses on administering emergency oxygen to breathing and non-breathing persons, emergency oxygen delivery systems and integrating pulse oximetry. Certification Card given after class completion. Course Length: 2 Hours

ASHI Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness environments create special situations not usually encountered in an urban or suburban environment.  This comprehensive 16- to 20-hour course meets the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid curriculum and guidelines. Classroom and outdoor practical lessons are used during this course. Certification Card given after class completion. Course Length: 16 to 20 hours
